Cancellation Policy

Overview
Turnbridge House operates a Firm cancellation policy. We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be fair to both our guests and our business. This policy outlines the refund terms that apply when a confirmed booking is cancelled.
Please read this policy carefully before submitting your booking request. By completing a booking, you agree to these cancellation terms.
Cancellation Refund Schedule
The refund you receive depends on when you cancel relative to your check-in date:

24-Hour Grace Period: If you cancel within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed, you will receive a full refund provided the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the check-in date.
What Counts as the Accommodation Charge
The accommodation charge is the total nightly rate multiplied by the number of nights booked. Refund percentages apply to this amount only.
- Cleaning fee: Fully refunded on all cancellations made before check-in.
- Nightly rate: Refunded according to the schedule above.
How Cancellations Work
Before Your Booking Is Approved
Turnbridge House uses a "Request to Book" system. If your booking request has not yet been approved, you may cancel at any time without charge. Your card will not have been charged at this stage.
After Your Booking Is Approved
Once your booking is approved and payment has been taken, cancellations are subject to the refund schedule above. To cancel a confirmed booking:
- Contact us as soon as possible by email or phone (details below).
- We will confirm receipt of your cancellation request.
- Any applicable refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Cancellation Date
The cancellation date is the date we receive your written cancellation request (by email). The time difference between your cancellation date and your scheduled check-in date determines your refund.
Modifications to Your Booking
If you wish to change your dates rather than cancel outright, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate date changes subject to availability. Date changes are treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking for the revised dates, each subject to the applicable cancellation terms and pricing at the time of the change.
Cancellations by Turnbridge House
In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking (for example, due to unforeseen circumstances such as property damage or a force majeure event), you will receive a full refund regardless of when the cancellation occurs. We will also make reasonable efforts to help you find alternative accommodation.
Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances
In cases of extraordinary events beyond either party's control — such as natural disasters, severe weather, government travel restrictions, or public health emergencies — we may, at our discretion, offer more flexible cancellation terms. Each situation will be assessed individually.
Refund Summary
For quick reference:
- Full refund — cancel 30+ days before check-in, or within 24 hours of confirmation (if 7+ days before check-in).
- 50% refund — cancel 7-29 days before check-in.
- No refund — cancel less than 7 days before check-in, no-show, or early departure.
- Cleaning fee — always refunded if you cancel before check-in.
- Pending bookings — can be cancelled at any time with no charge.
